DAZZLING NAPKIN RINGS, MADE IN A FEW STEPS
First, I want to say 'Happy New Year!' I wish you peace, joy, great health, and prosperity in 2019.
IT IS EASY TO DESIGN BEAUTIFUL NAPKIN RINGS

Here is how I designed and transformed plain napkin rings into elegant and sophisticated rings in a few easy steps.
I wanted a more traditional style, so I chose to use gold tone, metal napkin rings I found at the local Pier 1 Store. They had to be made of a metal, like aluminum, so I could dangle embellishments from the ring using a small gold magnetic clasp.
A plain napkin ring is transformed with gemstones
I purchased 3 pair of classy, gold dangling costume jewelry earrings, found at a department store. I used one earring per napkin ring, for a set of six rings. I removed the fastener that came on the earring and replaced it with one end part of the small gold magnetic clasp, purchased from the jewelry making supply department at the Hobby Lobby Store. I opened the wire that was holding the fastener on with small needle nose pliers. Taking the fastener off the earring, I then attached the magnetic clasp onto the opened wire on the earring.
To add the 'bling' to the napkin rings, I used small round self-adhesive, dazzling, diamond like gemstones around the top and bottom edges of the napkin ring. I then added five large pear shaped, diamond like self-adhesive gemstones; placing them in a circle on the front of the ring as the focal spot. The dangling earring is then place onto the napkin ring in the center of this focal spot. Because I like a lot of sparkle, I even added medium size, pear shaped diamond gemstones to the dangling parts on the earring.

Most of the items can be found in major craft stores
The self-adhesive gems can be found in the craft and paper area of most craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or Joann. To make the adhesive more secure on the pear shaped gemstones and on the magnetic clasp, I also used a bonding glue spot to attach them to the napkin ring. I would recommend using the smallest 3/16 inch glue spot for this project. The box of Elmer's glue spots I used was purchased at the Walmart Store in the craft department.
If you would like a more simple design on your napkin rings, you may add only the diamond like gemstones to the rings and leave off the dangling earrings. Just put a large round gemstone in the center of the focal spot instead of the earring.
The simple design is also elegant looking

Use your own creativity. You may want to choose other colors and shapes for your gemstones. I think that blue, green, or red would also be beautiful. You may even prefer silver tone napkin rings instead of gold. Please drop me a line, and share photos of your unique design. I would love to hear from you.
